Dana White refutes rumours of Cejudo replacing The Korean Zombie at UFC 273 due to injury… “It was just a small joke, just like Henry”

UFC President Dana White took part in some “joking around” pleasantries for April Fool’s Day by offering up Chan Sung Jung to Henry Cejudo for the Featherweight Championship at UFC 273. White called the former flyweight/bantamweight champ with the offer, only to quickly take it away when Cejudo announced on social media his return.

“It got awkward quickly” White said. “Henry must have forgot it was April Fools and that he’s retired.” The UFC president wasn’t shy to take another dig at the Olympian, stating; “It was a small joke, a teeny-tiny joke, miniature even, just like Cejudo.”

In White’s defense there wasn’t an announcement that the main event had changed between Volkanovski and the Korean Zombie but Cejudo fell for it hook, line and sinker. ‘The Messenger’ posted to Twitter: “Triple C is back! Today is a beautiful day, thank you to Dana White! I will not disappoint. Zombie get ready to be cringed!”

The Cringe didn’t last long Cejudo is said to be retired once again. UFC 273 is scheduled for VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, April 9.
